International Friday Dinner this week

You are invited to our next free dinner this year, hosted by UNC International Friends, this week Friday Feb 2nd at Chapel of the Cross on Franklin St.  Please note this is a different location from most of our dinners, across the street from UPC next to the planetarium. The address is 304 E Franklin St, Chapel Hill, NC 27514 (Google Maps link).

Dinner will be served at 6pm.  We will be having our favorite Southern cuisine, Bojangles chicken!  There will be a vegetarian option as well . We will end by 8pm so you can catch the bus home – or get a ride home with someone there.

Please join us to hear about The Quandary of Culture:  Embracing the American way while in America –a sampling of American values that culture-learners will discover and embrace while they live in America. Mark Vance was born and raised in Brazil.  He works with international students as an International Friends’ staff member at UNC, but Mark experienced being a stranger in the foreign land in which he grew up.  He will offer tips from his experience on learning to adapt or fit in to American culture.  After our speaker, there will be discussion at your table.  We also play a fun game.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday before 6pm.
