Campus Tour and Franklin Street Treat Wed. Aug 21st, 6:30pm, Belltower Meet at the Belltower at 6:30pm for a campus tour led by some seasoned UNC students. Learn everything from the best places to study on campus, where to print for free, where to get football tickets, where to see free movies on weekends, and all the cool places to go on Franklin Street. After we will go to Franklin together to get frozen yogurt and hang out. Great chance to make friends after your second day of class!
Cookout at Jordan Lake Sat. Aug 24th, 10:00am-2pm, Jordan Lake, NC Join us for a day at the lake and a chance to make a lot of new friends, both international and American! Fun games too! We will meet at the ATM machines on Raleigh St near Davis Library at 10:00am on Saturday and drive 20 minutes to the Lake. Cost is $5 for the lunch we will have together (hot dogs, chips, watermelon etc.). Transportation is provided, but spaces are limited, so email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up!
Hoedown and Pig-Pickin’ BBQ! Sat. Aug 24th, 5:30pm, Carrboro Town Commons Come with us to the Hoedown Square Dance and Picnic hosted by UNC student organization Cornerstone. There will be barbeque pork, beans, sweet tea and other traditional southern food and dance lessons. For transportation, meet at the ATMs near Davis library on Raleigh Rd at 5:30pm.
