Easter Opportunities!

Hi everyone!  Did you know that Easter is this weekend?  This is the day that Christians celebrate Jesus’ resurrection, and is a great day to visit an American church!  If you are interested in attending an Easter service this sunday, you can email International Friends at uncinternationalfriends@gmail.com and we’ll find you a ride.

There are also a couple of other opportunities this weekend…

Easter Lunch at an American Home

At Easter it is common for Americans to gather with friends and family for a meal.  Bonnie and Marty Schneider would like to invite you to their home this Saturday for an early Easter lunch (since Easter is Sunday).  We’ll enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal together and then talk about what Easter really is about.  If you would like to go, please email uncinternationalfriends@gmail.com.

Space is limited, so please email soon.  We will meet at the ATMs on Raleigh Rd at 11:30am on Saturday and will drop you off in Chapel Hill after lunch by 3:30pm.

Chapel Hill Bible Church Easter Festival

Come join members of the Chapel Hill Bible church as they celebrate Jesus’ resurrection at the annual Easter Festival from 4-7:30pm this Sunday. This is a great chance to see what Easter is all about.

The Easter Festival aims to give everyone “a taste of heaven” as we rejoice in the hope the resurrection has won for us. And in the festival we are especially looking forward to the day called  the Wedding Supper of the Lamb when we will be united with Jesus in heaven and will spend eternity with him! TheEaster Festival looks forward to that day with a theme of a wedding reception and includes:

  • Live music cafe
  • Art exhibit
  • Pilgrim’s progress obstacle course for children
  • Greek and Jewish dancing
  • Children’s crafts
  • Fine potluck dining
  • Fellowship
  • Group worship

If you would like to go, email us at uncinternationalfriends@gmail.com!
